Saddam has in the meantime resurrected his military capabilities...his army is once again by far the strongest in the region. according to a recent deserter, he has enough chemical and bacteriological weapons to eradicate life on the entire planet, however, he lacks in delivery systems (missiles). reportedly he even has two nuclear devices, however these reports are as of yet unconfirmed (or if they are,the information was not deemed fit for public consumption).

i mention this because his rhetoric has become a lot more belligerent in recent weeks...

sadam is a cia plant; at least that's how it looks to me.

if nothing else this is going to be 'interesting.'

in any case i don't see how the markets will go up on a mid-east war.

also, if the u.s. gets engaged there, i expect a possibility that china and nkorea to come up with their own chicanery.

with a weakened miliitary, the u.s. cannot fight two wars at once.

if any of this starts going biological/nuclear... well i guess it's 'fields of nephilim' ('80s goth band who had really scary videos where the singer wore a priest's frock and a gas mask) time.
