MJ, I think you certainly have the scenario down pat. My only question is the timing. In the late 60s/early 70s, it took a few years to bop the "nifty fifty" after the zappy crappy had hit the fan. I think the 70s were the unusual scenario, but the Dow has been resilient so far this time around. That is my favorite put index, as the Naz has already taken a creaming. The Naz has further to go on the downside, but the Dow has barely started any kind of hiccup.
