Cyber sucks.. so what else is new

Cyber has been on a slippery slope for well over a year now. About the only good thing that has happened
in the past year is the customer reps are a) more responsive and b) a lot more polite. Beyond that tho....
the failings of the software are many and subtle. I'm sure you know some I don't and vice versa. I will point one
out that I discovered in 3.0060. If you have an open order on NYSE at close, and hit cancel after 4.00 pm, the
order will appear to cancel right away, and the shares are available to you again, say for instance to place an
order via redi or island. Unfortunately, in reality, your order is still open. I have twice now been executed
on my original nyse order well after 4pm, ie 4:02, 4:03. Including once while having a live order open on Island.
This would have been an interesting situation had they both been filled.

I know some of you have fairly sophisticated hardware setups. Have any of you noticed the past 10 days that
the data throughput from cyber has dropped dramatically? I would peg it at close to 50%, at a minimum 30%.
I use MRTG to sample the throughput on my router ever 5 minutes, and its clear on the graphs that my incoming
is way down. Yet I look at virtually the same stocks every day.

Lest DUD think he is the only one who has complained, you can go check on my posts here from last year. There
is no love lost between myself and senior management at Cybercorp. Frankly I don't doubt they cut off 'supporting'
this forum in large part because of my posts (they were instructed not to respond to them). Why have I stayed?
In large part, inertia. Cyber satisfies most of my needs fairly well. It can do so because I am no longer doing
400+ tickets a month. This is in part because I don't trust the system as much, and in part because I'm not
jobbing things as much. And second, I use two monitors and the frameless windows is key. I want to put things
where ever, and be able to place cyber windows around other apps that I use for futures trading and news and
chat. Framed windows (such as used by MB) just dont cut it. Maybe I should check to see if they have
changed that.

Good luck
