Nimrod Alan: Ashcroft may have been born in Chicago, but he is indeed a product of Ozark Southwest Missouri, an area of the country that I lived in for a while. (I used to fish Taneycomo at Branson when it had no hillbilly music theaters save one.) Ashcroft's father was an Ozark revival fires preacher who set the lad on a straight course to political success as well as to heaven. Having spent portions of my life in the Ozarks and the hills of Kentucky, I have always considered myself lucky to "become one" with the culture of "Shepherd of the Hills," a fact that I'm sure Ashcroft is proud of as well. As a matter of political fact, I even voted for Ashcroft early in his political career and have never spoken against his nomination as attorney general. What I presented was intended to be a humorous interlude in the day, and did not represent anything more. Having said all that, it is you that needs to come off his elitist high horse. It is you who is the self-appointed arrogant one. Go back to your Izod golf thread, where you can share with the others what grip works best for you.
