I'm not a Gateway expert but as a average person I noticed how Gateway started opening all these slick stores in high priced areas. It just completely baffled me as to why they were adding all this expense.

They moved from being a DELL like online store to some kind of crazy idea that they could open very expensive stores everywhere and increase sales enough to cover the venture.

Then I discovered the move coincided with the hiring of the (now departed) CEO. My guess is that they will dump all the frills and go back to doing what made them money in the past.

Gateway stores was a crazy idea. If it was something that worked DELL IBM and everybody else would be doing it. IBM and Raido Shack proved it was a bad thing to do.

Anyow, Ted will just move things back to what they were, which is good, and hire somebody not so wild to be the next CEO.
