Are you sure the problem was with the exchange and not your broker? I've found the LEAPS are almost always on autoex (except when a fast market is declared) so you should receive an immediate execution. When I just take the offer on a LEAPS I usually receive confirmation while my finger is still on the transmit key. I've also had good success lately splitting the spread on LEAPS. Dave
