Did people NOT buy them because THEY WERE NOT upgradeable to Socket A processors? People buy PCs because they want and need them for the moment - and almost NEVER upgrade the CPU. By the time the CPU needs upgrading, so does the entire system - memory - graphics - hard disk, etc. Of course, the typical AMDroid is probably different - but that amounts to probably less than 300 dweebs worldwide.
