<<No one in his immediate or extended family has ever had an
abortion, to his knowledge>>

You may know whether the women with whom you've had sexual relationships have had abortions while you were with them. Remember, though, that they had reason not to let you know, if they decided not to have a child. You are also less likely to know whether any of these woman had abortions prior to knowing you.

But you seemed sure, in the post to which I replied, that no one in your immediate or extended family has ever had an abortion.

I'm telling you that you do not know that.

And because you would consider your relative, or friend, a murderer if she, or he, needed your help, you will be unlikely to. From you, this life event will be kept secret. People do have secrets, and choose from whom to keep them.

You may have five friends who have needed your help, financial or emotional, in obtaining an abortion, but you would never be asked. You may not know it, but that personally affects your life.
