So Susan Smith had "extenuating circumstances" - she suffered "anguish over the loss of her lover" - she was "mentally frail" - her lover didn't want her kids so she drowned them like rats. And she's not a cold-hearted monster? You must be a liberal! No wonder you don't want to hold mothers who kill their children by surgical abortion, birth control pills, IUD's etc. responsible for their crimes. Since their actions in having their babies killed isn't so heinous and there are "extenuating circumstances".
