So Susan Smith had "extenuating circumstances" - she suffered "anguish over the loss of her lover" - she was "mentally frail" - her lover didn't want her kids so she drowned them like rats. And she's not a cold-hearted monster? You must be a liberal! *GASP!!!* I will allow this profound insult to pass without much incidence—this time… No, apparently you are the liberal, as evidenced by your inability to read and understand the point of my post. The point was not to defend Susan Smith, but to compare her to a murderer who on the surface appears more cold-hearted than she. No wonder you don't want to hold mothers who kill their children by surgical abortion, birth control pills, IUD's etc. responsible for their crimes. Since their actions in having their babies killed isn't so heinous and there are "extenuating circumstances". Their actions are indeed heinous, but not typically as heinous as those of the abortionist, who actually performs the murders, repeatedly, and for cold hard cash.
