Yeah, you see it all the time on the SI threads. People have their tightly held opinions on things, and won't tolerate any other views. Then the market issues its own verdict. Some SI threads do become like mini-cults, mini-fiefdoms, with everyone blindly believing that their chosen stock will soar. The market: Not an issue. The economy: Not to worry. The debt: Irrelevant. Creative "pro forma" accounting: Huh? Short positions: Deluded, wayward, subversive, un-American. TA: Voodoo, mumbo-jumbo. FA: Due diligence (meaning read all the thread hype).
