Captain ..... that is a

very good analysis of some of the effects of rotation. I doubt pension fund managers are working in concert to take the market up. :) The problem is always the same .... a struggle between individuals or groups. Every day the indexes show us the net result, compounded by (something I suspect but am not sure is right and certainly hard to prove) manipulation that big players manage at critical points .... for example, if the NDX is at critical support, a big house with money to make in a fast market can focus on cracking CSCO's support and thus ensure, with high probability, that the rest of the market goes down. I can imagine this goes on ...... because humans like to control things and profit from such control.

Does anyone know what the new Nasdaq volume count rules mean? What does volume mean now?

Thanks,

Joseph
