Flash as a commodity does indeed bother me.

RMBS is not about PC's or just INTC, not by a long shot.

RMBS has design wins with LSI, TXN, it is used in EMC storage devices, etc etc.

Check out www.rambusite.com for a somewhat biased viewpoint overall, but an accurate view of their relationships. I think you will be amazed.

Guidance 2-3 years down the road is that PC's will be less that 40% of its revenues. So far RMBS management has proven to be as skillful as CSCO or QCOM IMHO.

As for INTC. I fully expect AMD to be supporting RMBS chipsets within a year or less. I belive DDR is dead on the vine (again disagreeing with Earlie). INTC needs RMBS more than the other way around, if you believe the forward statements about PC growth not being their future revenue growth. INTC right or wrong had RMBS designed in to their products. Change to DDR - for what reason. AMD still can not get it to work well the last time I checked. They are still having the types of problems with DDR that INTC had with RDRAM the last time I looked.

As for the industry hating RMBS. So what? That is part of Earlies argument. The industry fought QCOM tooth and nail as well. The industy always fights the next gorilla. Like it or not, RMBS is a crowned gorilla IMHO.
