Based on the new Intel PIII-1000 microprocessor, the NP1000A is both very fast and very convenient to use.
This extremely fast notebook PC includes 256-MB of RAM, a 20-GB Ultra DMA hard disk, an 8X DVD drive (built in), a 56K V.90 FAX/modem (built in), 64-bit 3D wavetable sound with dual built-in stereo speakers, a built-in 10/100 Ethernet interface and Windows 98SE installed. The screen supports 1600 x 1200 resolution in True Color (16.7 million colors) mode. A simultaneously operating external CRT can be supported at up to 1600 x 1200 resolution in True Color mode. Power Management Assures Long Life
Smart lithium-ion batteries and power-saving software and electronics assure long life. Power management software also includes doze, sleep and suspend/resume modes. Typical battery life is 3 hours.
The system measures 11 inches (D) x 14 inches (W) x 2.2 inches (H). The weight, including Lithium-ion smart battery, is 9.25 pounds.
