I guess the "problem" as "they" see it, is that I am not part of the herd. I guess I always did walk to the beat of a different drum, and perhaps because of it, I became a successful trader. At the same time, of course, it is important to know what the herd is thinking and where they want to go.
I have my father to thank for that, because he too, walked to the beat of a different drum, but as a career military man and covert operative, he taught me to blend in with the herd, and "work 'em". He believed that it was best they never caught on that on the inside, our brains did not operate on the same wavelength. This way, rather than be described with words that started with "anti", they used words like "refreshing".
To him, this was success.
