Some posters that have received suspensions here have been previously suspended for actions on other threads that have nothing to do with politics. Some of these posters have on going battles on SI. Clearly suspensions do not correct behavior that breaks the SI TOU. Perhaps this thread should discuss the pros and cons of suspensions. Perhaps all threads should be moderated or perhaps the answer is off with their heads.;)

(And for the humor impaired that read this: the off with their heads is meant jokingly)

I do notice a tendency for people taking sides on the political threads to also take their dislike or disgust of the other side onto investment threads.
