Bald: As you know, IRA and other deferred tax savings plans do not allow for tax losses... You might as well just leave it there hoping that Congress changes the laws regarding deferred tax savings plans losses... A Republican administration might be friendly to a proposal that allows you to set up a loss pool within an IRA that reduces the future taxable portions when withdrawals are made... Jim
