Dear ecommerceman: After reading your post I had to go to your profile to try and determine how you think. All I see is that you live in Wash, D.C. I guess you must be one of the maze of lower eschelon beauracrats that plague us. You must not have aspirations to rise above your level. I was not born rich but I have worked VERY HARD. So hard that my first wife divorced me telling the judge I was married to work not to her. Now, I am what some may call well to do and I no longer work at all, but I must tell you, the progressive income tax was a very big burden to me to get above the station of life to which I was born into. While you may not aspire to rise above, it is the strenght of this nation that many people do. To the extent that the government stifles that ambition I believe it is detrimental to the health of the Nation. This is a country where historically ANYONE could become almost anything IF they were willing to work hard enough to succeed . It is those people who move us forward not those willing to while away their time to collect their pension someday and live a COMFORTABLE though not GENEROUS lifestyle. Rather than be jealous of those who have pulled themselves out of the morass of equality you should salute them, they helped make YOUR lifestyle possible to you and might help your children aspire to something greater.
