I do not believe the problem in our inner cities is like the middle East- unless we make it that way by believing it is. We certainly could make it as intractable by refusing to try to solve it.

Read the above citation- I am sure in a country as big as ours, we can at LEAST give these children an adequate education. Not an equal education- people would fight too hard against giving them that, and people have fought- all the way to the Supreme Court against giving them that, but I think, at a minimum, the greedy and self interested people of the US could add a little enlightenment to the mix, and furnish to our inner city children, an education that might actually educate them. It truly is ironic to make children in substandard schools say a pledge of alegiance about one counrty under God with liberty and justice for all- when there are really two countries, and no justice. One for Americans who will get an education, and one for those who will not.
