JDN--Thanks for the lecture on capitalism, as well as the insult (btw, it's "echelon" not "eschalon," and it's not "beauracrats" it's "bureaucrats"; and btw again, don't strain yourself trying to figure out what I do, you were dead wrong).
So this is a country where "historically, ANYONE could become almost anything IF they were willing to work hard enough to succeed." Really? HISTORICALLY? Funny, I think there's a whole lot of Black folks who probably might disagree that, HISTORICALLY, their willingness to work hard had anything to do with enriching them, as it only enriched their master. And, after slavery was abolished, I suspect that a lot of those same Black folks might suggest that HISTORICALLY, their children were sent to extremely inferior, segregated schools. So, please spare me the history lesson when you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
Taxes are the price that we pay to live in a civilized society, big guy, and the fact that you have to pay them at a higher rate than a janitor won't cause me to cry myself to sleep in sympathy. |
