lsh, found this to be interesting.
FNC Soars Above
the Rest in Ratings:
Fox has become the cable news
network of choice according to a
special study done by Nielsen Media
Research. The study was
commissioned by a former head of
CNN, and the results "surprised"* him:
in homes that have a choice between
CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel,
FNC has become the clear winner.
The study, which tracked ratings
during the five-week period between
the presidential election and the day
the Supreme Court ruled out a recount
in Florida, recorded a marked drop-off
in CNN viewers and a similarly striking
gain for FNC. Fair and Balanced
reporting is paying off! We want to
thank you for watching, and thanks for
telling your friends!

Based on the fact that they fairly cover the news it seem the liberal left call it the republican channel.
