The interview with the Psion FD you posted a few posts back continued the Psion/Symbian line (repeated in articles in The Register) that with devices running on the Palm OS, you can't use the PDA functions while you're using the device as a cell phone. Yet the reviews of the Kyocera and Handspring units I've seen all talk about how you can do just that.

Now maybe with the Symbian EPOC OS you can multi-task on other things at the same time as you're talking and note taking or whatever, but would you really want to? I have enough trouble doing one thing at once, let alone two or three or more. I'm presuming of course that with the Palm OS you can have other applications loaded (but not in active use) while you're talking and note taking, but maybe I'm wrong on this?

As an active owner/user of many of these devices, maybe you can enlighten me as to the benefits of multi-tasking on more than two things (something I'm sure the Pocket PC's can do) while you're walking along the street or sitting on the park bench!
