That's the key. I don't yet feel as though I want to commit to a dedicated line to a particular broker, all though there are exceedingly good reasons to do so. One, for instance, being losing several thousand dollars because the Sprintlink-UUNet access point going down to a misconfiguration. :)

I don't begrudge these incidents, but they are part of the price I pay for not having installed a dedicated line to my broker.

$900/mo is not a great price to pay if your trading patterns have a higher risk of loss due to Internet unreliability. Although, having made that commitment to a broker, it makes it all the more sour when they fail to live up to their end of the bargain...
