How about there should be no new government social spending until the debt is paid off... Or is not a concern about the debt that motivates you but rather a hatred of tax cuts.

Why is it that you always change the subject when confronted with the irresponsibility of Bush's budget? He wants to cut taxes and increase defense spending. Obviously this is not compatible with paying off the debt.

I have never made any suggestion that Government spending should be increased. I believe that the top budget priority should be paying off the debt.

You can not have it both ways. Reagan tried, and it was a disaster.
