yes, it's at a record high. never before seen. historic peak in speculation.

it's interesting to see that after two years of no net progress in the major indices, and the recent bursting of the tech bubble, futures traders are finally in complete bullish agreement...when the market blasted off from the late '94 low, they weren't bullish at all....holding what was then a record high net short position. lather, rinse, repeat, at the '98 low. and again, at the Oct.'99 low. but NOW, bullish unanimity as far as the eye can see...
