The defense increase at least for now is so small that it would not be a signifigant issue in balanceing the budget

We don't need a balanced budget. We need a $250 billion annual surplus to pay back the money already owed. The economy is booming, and we are just barely clinging to a small surplus. What happens the budget when a recession strikes?

Add together the defense increases, Star Wars, a big tax cut, Social security- and the total is a Reaganesque sized budget disaster.
