Well you are nimble and there's no tax issue, so perhaps not a bad idea. This is where the fundamental folks are supposed to have an advantage!

ON the other hand, have a look at CP on a weekly chart - in that time frame it has just moved up out of a consolidation and is retesting a previous high from 1998. There could be more room to move.

I guess if I was going to lock in gains I'd sell based on an expectation that if still healthy it will decline for a bit but leave buy stop orders above each daily down bar.
