current tax rates are a multiple of what serfs had to pay in middle ages, and a few more years of Democrats in power, and we would be back to slavery.

Marginal tax rates now are much lower than they were under Eisenhower. Please don't let the facts interfere with your philosophy, however.

Do you honestly think that peasants in the middle ages lived better than we do?
