Few companies(read: the poorly managed ones) in the sector are expected to lose some money in the coming quarters. Even with all of the downward revisions, I do not expect any of the premier players to be awash in Red. This should not be a typical downturn. 300mm is around the corner and the both Fed policy and Fiscal policy are being realigned to get the economy going again. I don't think this period can in any way compare to the asian contagion of '98(at least not yet), so true "Blood in the streets" valuations are not justified. All of that being said, few people like these stocks now let alone love them, so this is indeed the time to buy. Unless of course you need to better visibility before buying; in which case there is a premium for that type of certainty. Brian
