I would also like to call into question the SI practice
of casually dropping a subpoena notification into a
user mailbox at 5:07 on a Friday afternoon, with
absolutely no indication of what its about!!!

Is that your way of saying "have a nice weekend". Let me
tell you, the lack of sensitivity on SI's part is callous,
repugnant, offensive big brother behaviour at its worst.
Furthermore, it sucks! Get it?
