Thanks for the "must read" article on NT- About the middle of the document, I found the following paragraph: ********************** Despite its dedication to transparent communications, Nortel's interaction with customers is not always just right. Nortel shares fell in November after the company warned that first-quarter 2001 revenue and earnings would fall below Wall Street estimates. The explanation was that major telecommunications carriers were scaling back orders after double-booking earlier in the year to avoid possible shortages. ***************** I don't remember NT warning in November. It seems to me that NT management kept reiterating their previous guidance. They have lowered expectations on growth but this seems to be a big lie and the stock is getting hit big time for it. Is perception reality in this case?
