SAS And Sagent Agree in Principle to New Strategic Partnership SAS Institute and Sagent to Cross-License and Resell Each Other's Respective Software Products biz.yahoo.com
I think this is an excellent agreement for Sagent. SAS is a much larger organization with a substantial, loyal customer base. Reselling SAS SW will allow Sagent to derive more revenues from their existing customers. SAS should provide significant license fees (without the associated cost of sales) from reselling Sagent tools. Significant leverage of IP here.
