Chris, I share the author's frustration regarding the lack of standardization. Things just have not taken shape in a way that is helpful to consumers. I hope someday that a single standard rises to the top, but that is probably just wishful thinking. It doesn't seem like Sony or the backers of SmartMedia (Toshiba, Olympus, Fuji, Diamond MultiMedia,...) are going away anytime soon. Aus
