albert, Re: higher speeds athlons are copper only so I guess I am not completely sure what you mean by "not much"... For a CPU design which is competing with a 5(?) years old core, I have to say the gain is really not that much. Intel can pump out 1.5GHz CPU with Al .18 micron process, 300Mhz more than AMD. gary
