Jacada expands into Europe with new appointments
FEB 6, 2001, M2 Communications - Jacada, a leading provider of e-business
infrastructure software, today announced the appointments of Mike Potts, Mike
Warner and Bill Sawyer to lead its drive into Europe. Potts was formerly head of
Jacada Inc., the company's North American operations, and has been appointed to
the newly-created position of president of Jacada Ltd, to focus on the global
expansion of the company's business. Warner has been selected as director of
worldwide channels and Sawyer has been brought on board to focus on UK and
Ireland specifically, as country manager.
These appointments are the result of Jacada's aggressive push into the European
marketplace and are supported by the opening of its UK head office in London at
the end of last year. Following its success in North America, Jacada is now
looking to expand its presence and market share across Europe and, in
particular, in target territories including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain,
France, Italy and the Netherlands.
Gideon Hollander, CEO of Jacada, comments, "In the six years since Mike (Potts)
joined Jacada, we have experienced significant revenue growth in the North
American market. Jacada is now seeing tremendous growth outside North America,
most notably in Europe. This new team will focus on the global expansion of our
business."
Warner, formerly responsible for Sterling Software's (now Computer Associates)
European channel business, has been brought on board to expand Jacada's European
business and develop international channels.
Sawyer's focus will concentrate on developing both market share and sales
revenue at Jacada in the UK, as well as doubling the number of sales and
consulting staff based at the head office in London. Sawyer was previously sales
director at Sterling Software (now Computer Associates).
Sawyer and Warner will report directly to Potts in Jacada. |
