I'm really tired of people using the problems with entitlement spending as an excuse to be even more irresponsible on the revenue side of the budget.

Even if tax cuts are irresponsible "on the revenue side of the budget" (and I won't try to rehash our whole argument about that in this post), they are less irresponsible then the entitlement spending. They are also easier to reverse later then any new or expanded entitlements.
