Heinz, being an indian, I have another perspective on that. It has nothing to do with the government. In fact, it has to do with esthetics and tradition. Gold has always been considered a commodity of some value by indians and I don't it will go away anytime soon whether there is a good govt or not. People take pride in buying 24K gold and not 12/18K like in USA here.

BTW, the current govt is very good.
