Those pardons were appropriate because Walsh had nothing. In fact, Walsh violated the law by being so political in announcing them - first to the Clinton campaign - the weekend before the election.

Many suspect that Bush would have won except for the last gasp actions of Walsh and his office leak to the Clinton campaign. Walsh abused his office in so many ways.

Clinton is so corrupt that he simply has no equal in that area. AlGore tried.
