Mav, I am saying that neither SUNW, nor MSFT, nor CSCO, nor INTC are great bargains. They were in mid-December at the market lows. . . off the bottoms. . . .but when it comes to placing money for the longer term. . . I am more inclined to go with stocks like Liberty Media, WorldCom or some of our favorite smaller caps. As I've been saying for months now. . . the high-fliers are not the place to be these days. . . and the large cap Nasdaq stocks are not where the big gains of 2001 will be, IMO. If I had to place money for the long term into large caps, I'd be looking closer at the three letter issues.

As I illustrated earlier today, I'm not that high on the Nasdaq for 2001 overall. "Closer to 4000 than 3000" is a long way from "breaking old highs". I believe the COMPX will move higher this year, but not significantly. And that the Dow will make more significant moves in 2001 than the Nasdaq. But our little microcaps will still lead to the biggest percentage gains, IMO.
