Someone posted a link earlier today about members of Congress planning on submitting legislation to prohibit physicians from prescribing RU486 unless they are licensed and trained to perform abortions in case the RU486 doesn't work. It doesn't work completely all the time, you know. And when it doesn't, then an abortion is necessary because the drug prevents fetal development. I don't know, maybe there are places in the country where a woman who had a complication would have nowhere to turn for help.

But I think the real reason is to prevent women from having access to RU486.
