Whether the new Kyocera has the MSM3100 or 3300, it is interesting that now in the U.S. CDMA phones are ahead of the networks.

From the timing issues of the 1X chip development for handsets, it now looks like the delay (from our perspective) in Sprint going to 1X until 2nd half of 2001 will actually time the upgrade fairly well as far as infrastructure and handset availability.
