Bush has been in office only slightly more than two weeks. How can "Republican fiscal irresponsibilty" have any effect on anything yet? The rate hikes you referred to were largely ignored by the market Yeah. The market often is wrong. You can make money knowing that. Anybody with intelligence and experience knew what was coming once AG quit talking and started raising. That factor was the sudden loss of consumer confidence. Confidence started its drop on Slick's watch. Go look it up.
