Why Amazon was a bad name choice.
As a Brazilian I grew used to seeing people putting money in the Amazon -I mean the jungle down there- and losing even their underwear.
First Ford spend some millions trying to build Fordland to grow rubber trees. That was before synthetic rubber. He lost his shirt.

In the 70's, its was the turn of Daniel Ludwig. An American multimillionaire. He devised a project (Jari Project) to which included mines, woodmill and rice plantations. He sold at loss after investing some US$ 5 billion.

When I first heard the name Amazon.com I said: 'Oh, oh. This doesn't spell good'. Well we don't call it -in Brazil- Inferno Verde (Green Hell) for nothing.

Beware of Amazon it always take you in. To leave you have to lose your underwear!!!
