Well, I cut bait with NS and got out when it bounced to 3 in Jan.
If things turn for steel they could do well, however they're burning cash so fast that I don't think the dollar could plung fast enough (sign of something worse) or demand could increase fast enough, to save these companies.
Perhaps the Canadians are in a better situation but I think BS and NS are headed the same direction as LTV.
I used to think that because it took 7 years to build a steel mill that the barriers would protect the shareholder.
Unfortunatly with a capital intensive business, bondholders need to monitize their collateral, only way is to reorganize as what is a shuttered mill worth....?
Besides labor wants to keep jobs, etc....sick industry
Good Luck
