The first news is about SD (secure digital). Paul Leeper at Palm and Ray Creech at SD Alliance ?? are in Taiwan signing up 37 manufacturers to support SD platform. SD and USB products will be available in June 2001. The second news is about PALM OEM agreement with Taiwanese manufacturers. This is going to be big news. Those manufacturers in Taiwan can really bring down the cost of production for PALM. They will produce PALM clone in the future. It is just like IBM compatible clones made the PC market explode. PALM clone will start a new revolution. The factories are being certified by PALM in mainland China. The production will start in the 3rd qtr of 2001. messages.yahoo.com
