Datalink Chosen as Information Storage Architect for Salem Hospital MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2001--Datalink Corporation (Nasdaq:DTLK - news), announced today that it has been chosen by Salem Hospital to design, build and support the hospital's information storage architecture. The Storage Area Network (SAN) to be implemented by Datalink will provide Salem Hospital, the largest healthcare provider in Oregon's capital, with data consolidation, high availability, and reduced storage-related administrative costs.
One of the key elements for the Salem Hospital SAN is the new Hitachi 9200 RAID system. The 9200 brings the added functionality, performance, and scalability to handle exponential data growth that the hospital was seeking. The SAN will also include two Brocade Silkworm 16 Port 2800 switches.
