I think that WSJ isn't a bad idea and there are probably others like it. You could start a thread. The first impression from scanning the "hot subjects" and "new subjects" lists is that nobody seems to be bothered much by SI's obviously impending demise, even those who acknowledge it. I'm sure you've seen the "Guess the date that SI goes under" thread.

While we remain in a down market it's going to be hard to generate much enthusiasm for a rescue effort. But the market will become interesting again (in a good way) some day. And while it might get quite a bit worse before it gets better, that's not the problem. The problem is that it might take a bubble...
