Well it looks like they are making sure it is waiting for infrastructure. Also, it could surprise Intel that, they can launch it anytime they want to, in volume. They are just waiting for Intel to get close and then slam the door in their face again, like the desktop 1GHz last March..

Of course the real reason is probably more like the OEMs asked them to hold off till they get enough notebooks for a big launch.
