Hi Lynn ... I think this site is too valuable for it to disappear ... nor do I think it will ... someone will buy it and charge $50 to $75 per year for membership - my guess ... I hope Dow Jones & Company (publisher of the WSJ and Barrons) is that somebody, although I have no idea if they would be interested.

Paying for good content is becoming very common on the web - which should not be a surprise to any of us - all those dot-coms that went or are going out of business did so for economic reasons - one of the reasons was lack of revenue.

I subscribe to the following financial sites for various and reasonable fees ... I am not sure if these numbers are exact, but they are pretty close ...

The Economist - $60 per year
Business Week - $60 per year

Fortune Magazine - still free, but less and less articles are free - I expect to pay for this soon
Contrary Investor - $95 per year - was free for a long time - went to fee basis last month

Wall Street Journal - I subscribe to print edition - would have to pay more to get it on-line
Barrons - I subscribe to print edition - would have to pay more to get it on-line

The Contrarian (Bill Fleckenstein here on SI) - moving soon to private site at $50 per year
John Murphy (murphymorris) - $80 per year

New York Times - free, but I would pay if they change their policy ... on CNBC yesterday, they said that it would continue to be free, although I would bet it will not be 12 months from now.
