Bombardier press release:

I just can't see Bombardier retrofitting Ficht motors with OCP. By the same token they wouldn't pull OCP off the PWC engines and install Ficht "Ram". Mercury's concern is will Bombardier replace the jet boat motors again, this time installing Ficht motors that they themselves build. They only recently began pulling out twin Rotax engines and installing a single OptiMax powerhead. Kawasaki and Polaris have never revealed their long term plans for their PWC's, with the assumption being they would use Ficht, presumably Ram. But nobody knows. At least nobody who's talking. Very few Ficht motors have been sold by Polaris, as they offer it only as an option, and only on their 4 seater. Kawasaki has it as standard equipment on one of their 3 seaters. Honda launching 4S PWC's in the fall, and it remains to be seen if Yamaha will use their HPDFI technology or their light weight 4S technology in their PWC's. They can't meet 2006 emissions just using cats.
